AA2AR Presented Award To K2CRR for 65 Years in Amateur Radio




K2CRR, Bob Schober, continues being an active Amateur Radio Operator for the last 65 years.  Bob not only finds time to operate but also is a radio kit builder.  In addition to “Ham Radio” he ownes and managed Kenilworth Electronics, a Motorola MSS sales, install and repair facility.  In the mid 1960’s, Bob also purchased WBL a marine telephone station (http://www.imradioha.org/WBL.htm) operating on both VHF and HF.  WBL handled traffic on the Great Lakes and the East Coast.  The family business was manage by his XYL (Vi) and four children.  Some how Bob finds time being an active Volunteer Firemen at Kenilworth Fire.  This just proves the old phrase, “If you want a good job done, give it to a busy man”.
